Description:

A former Air Force fighter airfield, and U.S. Fighter Base, we are now established as 'the' Aviation Museum in Europe. On show are over 140 aircraft, reflecting the dramatic development of aviation technology. A hands-on exhibition for children, 'The Flying Machine' demonstrates many of these developments. Other hidden treasures at Duxford are a dramatic land warfare hall containing Duxford's impressive collection of tanks, military vehicles and artillery. You will also uncover a 1940's prefab and a reconstructed wartime operations room
